  We are seeking a half-time Operations Director/Finance Manager (20 hours per week) to oversee the smooth functioning of King’s Cross Church. This role involves coordinating events, optimizing the use of resources, and implementing strategies to strengthen community engagement. Additionally, the position is responsible for the church's financial health, including budgeting, accounting, and donation management, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals.

 

Responsibilities:

• Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute church events, services, and community outreach programs.

• Resource Management: Ensure facilities and resources are well-maintained and efficiently allocated for all church activities.

• Financial Planning: Develop and manage the church’s budget, providing accurate revenue and expense forecasting to support financial health.

• Accounting Oversight: Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and church policies.

 Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for church leadership, offering clear insights into the church's financial performance.

 Donation Management: Oversee the tracking and reporting of donations,    ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Audit Preparation: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all fina     ncial practices meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to align financial practices       with the church's mission, identifying opportunities for growth and sustain     ability.

Qualifications:

  Experience: Proven experience in operations management, ideally

    within a church or nonprofit setting.

  Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to

   effectively engage with staff, volunteers, and the community.

  Organizational Skills: Excellent project management skills with the

    ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
