PING PONG TOURNAMENT

On Thursday, November 22nd, students from all departments and faculty gathered together in the Gentleness Hall to enjoy friendly competition and fellowship at the ping pong tournament hosted by the student council. As the semester winds down, it was an opportunity for players and spectators to put the books aside and root for our fellow students and respected staff and faculty. With raffle drawings and entertaining exhibition matches throughout the evening, there was something for everyone.
In preparation for the evening’s semifinal and final matches, each department, including the staff and faculty, had representatives in five events: men’s single, women’s single, men’s double, women’s double and mixed double matches. And after the completion of the semifinal matches, these are the teams that won berths into the final matches:

? Men’s single: K. MDiv vs. E. MDiv; E. MDiv (Q) wins 3:0 sets
? Women’s single: K. MDiv vs. E. MA; K. MDiv (Yoonhee Choi) wins 2:0 sets
? Men’s double: K. MDiv vs. E. MDiv; E. MDiv (Abel & Jae) wins 3:0 sets
? Women’s double: K. MDiv vs. E. MDiv; K. MDiv (Yoonhee Choi & Jinhee Lee) wins 3:2 sets
? Mixed doubles: K. MDiv vs. E. MDiv; E. MDiv (Taeoh & Sarah) wins 2:0 sets

Using up all that energy, either competing or cheering, built up an appetite. So, after the conclusion of the final match, all players and spectators were treated to a wonderful dinner supported by Suwon Baptist Church.
To the winners, congratulations! To those that came close, practice up for next time. And to the organizers and sponsors, thank you!
