Bible & Comp. Exam

Bible & Comprehensive Exam
Eligibility Requirements
- Students who are planning to stop-out cannot apply for the Bible or Comprehensive Exams
 
Program Eligibility Requirements Exam Subjects Pass/Fail
MDiv Must have completed one's 1st semester and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher Bible Exam: New Testament and Old Testament Score Over 70 on Each Section
MTS Must have completed one's 1st semester and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Bible Exam: New Testament and Old Testament Score Over 70 on Each Section
MA Must have completed one's 1st semester and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Comprehensive Exam - 4 Subjects Score Over 70 on Each Section
MEd Must have completed one's 1st semester and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Comprehensive Exam - 4 Subjects Score Over 70 on Each Section
MWCM Must have completed one's 1st semester and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Bible Exam: New Testament and Old Testament Score Over 60 on Each Section
ThM Must have completed one's 1st semester and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Comprehensive Exam - 4 Subjects Score Over 70 on Each Section
E-PhD (ICS, BS,ES,THS) Must have completed required coursework from each program, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must be recommended by one's academic advisor Comprehensive Exam
- Position paper or oral exam: 4 Subjects
- General Written Exam 1, 2
Score Over 80 on Each Section
K-PhD (CC) Comprehensive Exam - 4 Subjects Score Over 80 on Each Section
 
Schedules

- Exams are given at the beginning of each semester
- PhD students will take the Comprehensive Exam on a separate date

Retaking Bible and Comprehensive Exams
- Students only need to retake those sections of the exam that they have failed.
- MA, MEd, & ThM students have only 3 chances to take the exam during the study-duration.
- After their second semester, MDiv students have until the first Bible Exam offered during their 6th semester to pass the Bible Exam. After their second semester, MTS students have until the first Bible Exam offered during their 4th semester to pass the Bible Exam.
