Dr. Park joined Torch Trinity as a full-time faculty member in 2010. After graduating from Korea University as a biology major earning a bachelor of science. He went abroad to the United States, where he earned a master of arts in biblical and theological studies at Wheaton College (IL, USA). He continued his theological education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL, USA) and earned an MDiv. For the next five years, he served full-time in ministry until his desire to know how the gospel spread globally compelled him to pursue a ThM in church history, and then later a PhD in mission history and world Christianity at Princeton Theological Seminary (USA). Before coming to Torch Trinity, he served as a pastor in several local churches in America, and taught lay leaders in church congregations worldwide including seminary students in Nepal. As a historian of mission and world Christianity, his teaching and research interests include the global history of Christianity and missionary movements in the non-Western world. He is married with two children. |
